Grief Management Services Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated company, offering Grief Counselling and Life Skills Education.

Cherene Wessels CMACA, Member ACA & NALAG NSW, is the director of the company and has been involved in self-awareness, grief education and the funeral industry since 1990 and is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and National Association of Loss & Grief (NALAG NSW).

Since 1986, Cherene has studied at various institutions such as Adult and Community Education at the Underdale branch of the University of South Australia, Public Speaking at Tabor College, was accredited as a Group Educator through the Centre of Personal Education (COPE) now Relationships Australia), has undertaken Bereavement Studies with the Australian College of Funeral Service, has acquired Train the Trainer accreditation through TAFE and is a Clinical member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).  Cherene conducts the support-workers training sessions for SOLACE (support group for Widows & Widowers) and is currently serving as their advisory representative. She has previously served as a committee member for NALAG (National Association for Loss & Grief) and has also served on the advisory committee for Compassionate Friends Inc. (support group for bereaved parents) and conducts training sessions for their support-workers.   Cherene acquired Grief Management Services Pty Ltd from Mr Harold Jones when he retired in 1998 and since that time, has travelled extensively interstate and to country areas, conducting workshops and seminars for community groups, schools, churches, hospitals,  nursing homes etc and continues to train staff in the corporate sector.
